First year, I wasn't even in the league yet, and no one has any record of the standings. The best recollection is that Death Valley Omen (Mark Beaulieu) won the championship that year.

The first season for me and for CN. We had a joint team called Death By Demography, and we tied for first with Death Valley Omen. Of course it makes sense that the best teams that year are the ones who represent the current league. Death Valley Omen won the first place tiebreaker. The Super Bowl was won by Kyle Crowder, who has since returned to the Pacific Northwest, presumably to dominate fantasy leagues owned by dried up ex-grungers and strung out latte-aholics.

This is the earliest season for which we have the final standings (I found the constitution, believe it or not, for 1996, but the standings were probably lost on the old IBM mainframe SUNY Albany discontinued in 1999). This was the inaugural season for Brian and Dave. Mark and his pal Guy shared a team and dominated the regular season. I remember winning more than I deserved thanks to someone named Raymont Harris. Apart from Mark and Guy, the rest of the league was extremely even, separated by only 2 games. Anyway, Death Valley Omen won it all again, giving Mark his second championship.

This was the first time we reduced the regular season to 14 weeks. I got off to a monster start, and my team was the first to score 1300 points in a season despite fewer games. Enough of my bragging, though, because I lost the Super Bowl anyway, for the third straight year. Luis and Steve had a huge season. Last I heard Luis was lawyerin' out in Florida. Dave made the playoffs for the first time. Anyway, long story short, Death Valley Omen won, Kings of Kotitanium lost, same old story!

This season was unusual because we couldn't get the full 8 teams. Rather than have fantasy teams take bye weeks, we decided to run a three-team-game each week. In the three-team game, the top scoring team would go 2-0, the second-best scorer would go 1-1, and the low scorer would go 0-2. So, the season was 20 games long. I squeaked by Dave to get first place, but was quickly eliminated in the playoffs by Paul. Brian made his first playoff appearance, and Dave won his first Super Bowl over Paul's Warriors. Paul since moved out to Chicago. Paul's team had both Marshall Faulk and Edgerrin James. Jake made his debut and his team was quite good before he stopped sending in lineups.

This year, we managed to get back to the old eight-team format. Mark Beaulieu and CN came back to the fold after missing some seasons. Tony and Mark Lavigne had their debut seasons, and both made the playoffs in their first year. My team did its (what was then) usual, winning all season and then choking in the playoffs. After that we put it in the constitution that my team should always be known as the Buffalo Bills, although lately Arizona Cardinals is seeming more and more appropriate. Dave's team had the highest scoring season in our history, by far, the only team ever to average over 100 points a game. Scoring was generally very high, as half of the teams in the league are on the all-time single season list. In the end, Tony eliminated my team by one point, Dave managed to get past MARJACKALSS, and Dave won his second straight championship.

This was the first season for the league as a keeper league. Teams kept four players from the 2000 season. For the first time, everyone from the previous season returned. We also expanded by two teams, and split the league into two divisions. One division was named for great Jets coach Rich Kotite, who understood that it's not whether you win or lose that matters, but whether you are a good person on the inside. He brought that philosophy to the game, and it showed. For the other division, well, someone with a name like Dick Butkus just has to get a division in a league like ours. This was the most even season we've had so far, with all 10 teams within 4 games of one another. Dave somehow managed to miss the playoffs despite easily leading the league in points. Jake had the best record and won the championship. Carrie and Kyle debuted and tied for first place in the Butkus division.

The lowest scoring year since '99, the first time we had teams not score 1000 points since '99. Carrie won the third straight division title and then the Super Bowl. Death Valley Omen had no luck as always, but scored over 1300 points, quite a feat for 2003. Kyle was the first wild card from the Butkis division. Also, CN has won exactly one less game in each successive year since he returned to the league in 2000.

Almost like two seasons: in the first half, Mark Beaulieu's Death Valley Omen was unbeatable, in fact winning his first 8 games of the year. While this was happening, Mark Lavigne's MARJACKALSS were fighting to stay out of last place. In the second half of the season, Death Valley Omen slumped badly, while MARJACKALSS went on a 9 game winning streak that included the Super Bowl. CN's Wretched Pathetic Losers also made it into the playoffs on the strength of a strong start. Super Bowl X was the battle of the Marks, and the second Super Bowl loss for Death Valley Omen after three wins. It was MARJACKALSS' first championship. Carrie's team, Amnesiac, slipped somewhat, but managed to take the Toilet Bowl.

Eric's team, The Rookie, won the championship in his first season (since 1997). The Kotite division was extremely competitive, with none of the teams finishing with a losing record. Brian's "Injury Report" came in second and made it back to the playoffs. My "Worthless and Weak" proved the appropriateness of their name by losing the final four games and missing the playoffs. Mark's MARJACKALSS repeated as champion of the Butkis division, although CN's Wretched Pathetic Losers won 10 games and made it a battle.

My team, the Worthless and the Weak, won the championship after missing the playoffs for 5 seasons. Mark's MARJACKALSS won 10 games behind LaDanian Tomlinson's season, possibly the best fantasy football season ever by a player. Eric's team, now re-named "The Champ", put together a 7-game winning streak to close the season and make the playoffs for the second straight season. The final playoff spot was up for grabs in the final weeks, but Kyle's Steel Curtains put together a 4-game winning streak to make the playoffs. Steel Curtains had started off 0-3.
